Compact mound of leathery, dark green foliage set with large, saucer-shaped blooms in a variety of vibrant colours including white, cream, pink, rose, red and maroon . . . . often with contrasting spots. (20-24")

Helleborus are valued for their winter or early spring blooms. These clump-forming perennials require a well-drained, moist, fertile site in part to full shade. Avoid dry or water-logged soils and provide shelter from prevailing winter winds. Note: Helleborus are poisonous.
