Finally a Perennial Plant of the Year that is hardy enough to be grown throughout a good part of Canada!

Dense, bush-like perennial with attractive, blue-green clover-like foliage set with spikes of deep, indigo-blue flowers in late spring to early summer followed by attractive black seed pods. Reasonably drought tolerant and will perform well in ordinary garden soil. Prefers a sunny location but is quite tolerant of partial shade. (3-4')
