Gorgeous, tough ornamental. A giant. Blue-green foliage flushed with bright red in the fall. Leavier and more rust resistant than the species. Tolerates a wide variety of soils including poorly drained clay, dry sand and wet bog. Will have the best upright form in full sun. Drought tolerant. Flowerheads have distinctive three parts which resemble a turkey foot -- hence sometimes called Turkey Foot Bluestem. (8')
