Zone 4 - 9

This hybrid is about twice as big as the species and not quite as hardy. Lush dark green leaves are evergreen turning brilliant scarlet in late fall and winter. Low growing and slow spreading. Lovely pink flower clusters in the spring followed by small scarlet-red fruit which is a favourite of small animals, birds and yes, bears. Can be grown in full sun to partial shade in well-drained sandy soil. Does not like soggy soils. (12")
