A woody sub-shrub with large fragrant, purple-blue, cone-shaped blooms in late summer to early fall. Silver-green foliage which provides a great contrast for the blooms.

An outstanding plant to attract butterflies. Cut back to 12-18" from the ground in the spring. Very late to leaf out so do not give up too early. Best in sun to part shade, in well drained soil. This is a more dwarf variety very suitable for the smaller garden or placed in mid-border. (3-4')
