Zone 5 - 9

A woody sub-shrub with lovely, fragrant, cone-shaped blooms which are deep reddish-purple. Blooms late summer to early fall. An outstanding plant to attract butterflies. Cut back to 12-18" from the ground in the spring. Very late to leaf out so do not give up too early. Best in sun to part shade, in well drained soil. (4-5')
