Superb, slow spreading groundcover for a moist shaded location. Also quite tolerant of a sunny, drier spot. Semi-evergreen, heart-shaped foliage which is tinged with purple in cold weather. Mass of small purple flowers in mid-spring and early summer. All season foliage interest. Great woodland subject. Although this is not a big plant, the form and foliage combine to create an exceptional effect. This is a newer, more compact form but quite vigorous. (8-10")
