An interesting architectural plant with ridged, deep emerald green, hollow stems that resemble miniature bamboo. Prefers moist soil and can be grown in shallow water, 2-3" deep. Can also be used as a groundcover but beware -- it is a fast spreader. Best to grow it in a contained situation. Prefers part to full shade. It is tolerant of drier conditions provided it is not in full sun. (12-36")
