Zone 4 - 9

A giant grass that can grow up to 12' tall. Frequently seen along roadsides and in ditches. Coarse, reed-like grass with huge, white, woolly plumes in late summer, which are almost 2' in length. Tan seeds in fall. Foliage turns bronzy-orange to purple in the fall. Great autumn and winter interest. Best in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Ideal as a screen, hedge or giant accent.
