Forms a dark green mat of whorled leaves, covered with a starry white display of tiny flowers in late spring. Grows 6-8" tall and will slowly spread outward to form a large mat. Great as garden edging or for naturalizing under shrubs and trees. Best grown in partial shade, in moist, well-drained soil. Tolerant of sunny and drier conditions. Not invasive and generally easy to control.
