New Japanese cultivar. Mounding plant with cascading brilliant yellow leaves that are accented with green stripes. The foliage will become increasing red as the season progresses. The name 'Beni-Kaze' translates to 'Red Wind'. Wonderful grass for containers, paired with Hosta or edging a water feature. Excellent ornamental for 3-season garden interest.

Slow to establish but well worth the effort. Best grown in partial to full shade, in fertile, humus-rich, moist soil that is well draining. Will not tolerate winter wet. (10-12")
