Helleborus was the 2005 Perennial Plant of the Year

This is spectacular new introduction, part of the Winter Jewels series. Double green-coloured blooms which are painted with purple on the edges and often streaked with purple on the back of each petal. Extra large blooms which can have up to 30 petals! Stunning. (18-24")

Helleborus are valued for their winter or early spring blooms. These clump-forming perennials require a well-drained, moist, fertile site in part to full shade. Avoid dry or water-logged soils and provide shelter from prevailing winter winds. These are exacting conditions. Note: Helleborus are poisonous.
