Helleborus are valued for their winter or early spring blooms. These clump-forming perennials require a well-drained, moist, fertile site in part to full shade. Avoid dry or water-logged soils and provide shelter from prevailing winter winds. These are exacting conditions. Note: Helleborus are poisonous.
