Helleborus was the 2005 Perennial Plant of the Year

Pure white, cup-shaped blooms, each petal heavily spotted inside with maroon freckles. Flushed with green in the centre. Gorgeous! (18`)

Helleborus are valued for their winter or early spring blooms. These clump-forming perennials require a well-drained, moist, fertile site in part to full shade. Avoid dry or water-logged soils and provide shelter from prevailing winter winds. Note: Helleborus are poisonous.
