Gorgeous alpine. Forms a leathery rosette of leaves set with dazzling rose-purple blooms with a hint of orange. Very hardy but must have excellent drainage in order to overwinter. A gravel-like mulch around the crown is helpful. Keep it away from big bully plants. Drought tolerant once established. Can be grown in sun to part shade. (4-6")
