Easy to grow native fern. Upright, plume-like fronds form a vase-shaped clump. Once established, will spread rapidly to form a large colony. A great fern for mass planting or naturalizing. Can be harvested for its edible fiddleheads. For part to full shade, in moist, humus soil. Although not the 'Jumbo' variety this form will easily grow to 4' if located in a shady, moist location.
