Awesome member of the ginger family orginating in the Himalayas. Strap-like green foliage with blood-red stems set with orchid-like lavender flowers in late summer. Best grown in a cool woodland setting. Keep it out of the hot summer sun. Mulch deeply for winter or grow it in a pot and overwinter it indoors. (16")
