After waiting many years this covetted perennial was finally available once again last season. Unfortunately it sold out early. A much larger stock is available this season but it is best to order early as this is likely our most sought-after plant. Some visitors call it the firecracker plant. The blooms are astounding. Brilliant red, slender trumpet shaped with a vivid yellow, star-shaped top and throat. Compact plant with dark green foliage. Blooms almost all summer beginning towards the end of June. Loved by hummingbirds. Best grown in part to full shade, in well-drained soil. (18-20")
