Tender Annual

This is the first variegated basil on the market. Very attractive in containers or in the garden. Produces high quality leaves throughout the season. Use same as Sweet Basil.

REQUIREMENTS: Full sun and moist, well drained soil. Protect from wind and cold. Can be grown in containers.

HEIGHT: 18-24"

DESCRIPTION: Large, green coloured foliage. Flowers are small, tubular and white.

CULINARY: Pick leaves and young shots throughout the summer. Leaves may be dried or frozen for future use. Same flavour as Sweet Basil. Extensively used in Italian and mediterranean cuisine. Use fresh leaves in pesto, tomato dishes, sauces, salads and as pizza toppings. Also used with meats, fish and chicken dishes.
