This selection of Ostrich has an enormous crown and fertile fronds that are 50% larger than those of the Native Ostrich. Among the easiest to grow. Exceptionally hardy. Huge, upright, plume-like fronds form a vase-shaped clump. Once established, will spread rapidly to form a large colony. A great fern for mass planting or naturalizing. Can be harvested for its edible fiddleheads. For part to full shade, in moist, humus soil. (6-7' -- this is not a mistake!)
