Zone 4 - 9

Forms a groundhugging mat of glossy, leathery, evergreen foliage. In early summer it produces masses of round, lavender-blue, shaggy blooms held on short wiry stalks. Quite unique. This is a shrubby, trailing plant that is easy to grow in full sun and well-drained soil. I grew mine for years over a mulch of ordinary gravel and it thrived. Drought tolerant once established. Shear back spent blooms to keep the plant tidy. (4-6")
