What are Rock Stars? Rock Stars are cute little plants with big personalities. They are tough, low-growing perennials with multiple uses. Yes of course you can grow them in your rock garden. But Rock Stars are also ideal subjects for container gardens, edging a border, smaller city gardens or some can even be used as a groundcover. Big is not always better. Rock Stars can add texture and beauty to your garden in many interesting ways. Most Rock Stars will be quite drought tolerant once established however virtually all need good drainage to overwinter. This makes sense as most low growing plants do not want to be sitting in water. To provide good drainage mulch with pea gravel or even ordinary gravel. Don't plant in low-lying areas and keep small treasures away from big, overshadowing perennials. |
