Cross Gentian

Durable, compact plant with glossy, spoon-shaped leaves that intersect to resemble a cross. Long flowering from mid-summer to early fall producing showy, dark blue, bell-shaped blooms with a hint of icy blue at the rim. This is one of the easier Gentian to grow being more drought tolerant than other species. Prefers average to moist, acidic, well-drained soils in part shade. Best grown where it will be protected from the hot afternoon sun. Protect from winter wetness which may result in root rot. HEIGHT: 20-30 cm SPREAD: 30-40 cm
