This compact miniature has burgundy and white buds that open to become pink flowers which age to burgundy-red. All colours may be evident at the same time making a spectacular show. Begins flowering in very early spring -- or even late winter. HEIGHT: 30-35 cm SPREAD: 50-60 cm
Helleborus are valued for their winter or early spring blooms. These clump-forming perennials require a well-drained, moist, fertile site in part to full shade. Avoid dry or water-logged soils and provide shelter from prevailing winter winds. Note: Helleborus are poisonous.
