The result is a larger, more robust plant with greater uniformity. Spigelia is an amazing perennial. The blooms are astounding. Brilliant red, slender trumpet-shaped with a vivid yellow, star-shaped top and throat. Compact plant with dark green foliage. Blooms almost all summer beginning towards the end of June. Loved by hummingbirds. 'Little Redhead' can be grown in sun or shade in well-drained, fertile to average soil. This plant is slow to emerge in the spring. Please order early as its sure to sell out.
