Spreading, low growing, semi-evergreen perennial with dark-green, needle-like leaves smothered with deep rosy-red flowers in mid-to-late spring. Perfect for the rock garden, edging pathways and borders or tumbling over rocks or walls. Also useful as a groundcover. Prefers average to dry, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Drought tolerant once established. Shear back after flowering to maintain shape and improve overall appearance. This also may encourage new flowers throughout the summer.
