Compact perennial with finely textured foliage covered with an abundance of lemon-yellow panicles in July and August. Deadhead to encourage reblooming. Puts on a great show. Loved by bees and butterflies. Drought tolerant. HEIGHT: 30-35 cm SPREAD: 40-45 cm
European produced hybrids are much better behaved than our wild forms of goldenrod. These new forms are prized by florists for their superior and very showy cut flowers. Goldenrod are valuble for their brillirant late season colour. They do not cause hay fever as their pollen is too heavy to be airborn -- the real culprit is ragweed which blooms at the same time.
